When emergencies strike, the first 4 minutes are crucial, often referred to as the "Golden 4 Minutes." Quick and accurate first aid can save lives.
Recently, UDN partnered with the American Heart Association (AHA) to provide professional CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training for our employees.
This initiative aims to train more "life guardians," equipping them with essential emergency skills and fulfilling our corporate social responsibility.
Empowering with Professional First Aid Skills
AHA Instructors taught various emergency response techniques for common incidents. The training was practical, ensuring participants could react swiftly and correctly in real-life situations.
The training focused on AED and CPR, which were praised for their effectiveness and importance. Participants practiced each step under instructor guidance, becoming familiar with the process through repeated practice.
Besides that, the AHA courses covered a range of essential first aid skills, including assessing an injured person, handling medical emergencies such as shock and heart attacks, controlling bleeding, bandaging wounds, and performing the Heimlich maneuver to clear airway obstructions.
Several UDN employees obtained the "International Rescuer Certificate" after rigorous training and assessment, and expressed that these skills are very useful and believe that they will help them to be ready to act in critical moments.
The AHA is a globally recognized authority in public first aid training. Participants who passed the training received the AHA's first aid certification, which is valid in 188 countries, provides legal immunity for rescuers.
